What was it? La Torre Rossa is dated between XIII-XIV Centuries. It was born as a farm for the production of wine and oil. At the center of a large room a grindstone rotated to obtain olive paste and the quadrangular red tower was a precious protection for this valuable product. In a spacious hall with a wide arcade, close to the work-place, there are traces of frescos of a figure with a radiant aureole, similar to those of the XI Century. |
